Front Desk Coordinator
Rosita is a graduate from the Concorde Career Institute in 2001 in Fort Lauderdale. She has several years of experience in General Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and Endodontics. Her duties range from confirming all insurance, presenting the doctors treatment recommendations with options, aid in financial options, and helps the dental assistants as well so everything runs smoothly.
Her hobbies and interests are her children, singing and dancing. She is married to E.J. for 6 1/2 years. He is very patient and understanding. She has two lovely children who are as active as the sun shines. Her son, Noah, is happy and energetic, and her daughter, Juliana, is kind and €œknows everyone is wrapped around her finger€.
Dental Assistant
Andrea attended Berkeley Business College in New Jersey. She then moved to South Florida where she graduated from Concorde Career Institute in 1998 in Fort Lauderdale. She brings to this office over 12 years of experience. Her duties range from assisting the doctors during the dental procedures, fabrication of custom trays, temporary crown and bridges, keeping an active inventory of supplies, following strict sterilization procedures and educating our patients about dentistry.
Her hobbies and interests are dancing, skating and spending time with her family at the beach. Andrea is happily married for 11 years to Cesar. They have two lovely daughters, Kamila who is 10, and Valentina who is four.
Dental Assistant
Luz’s interests were to help people. She therefore studied Social Work at the University Del Este in Puerto Rico. She then moved to South Florida and pursued dental assisting where she graduated from Concorde Career Institute in 1998. Since then she has been following her interests in helping people as a dental assistant. Her experience has been in General Dentistry and Endodontic Specialty. Her duties in the office are to take x-rays, make temporary crowns, taking impressions and bleaching treatment. She assists the doctors and her most important duty she feels educating the patient about dental health and oral hygiene and making the patient feel comfortable and happy when they are in our office.
Her hobbies are reading romantic novels, interior design, and spending time with her family. Her family includes her lovely husband, Erik, of 7 years, her parents, two sisters, one brother, two nephews and one niece.
Our Dental Hygienist
Our hygienist is a licensed Dental Radiographer and Dental Hygienist in the U.S. by the Florida Board of Dentistry. His experience is tremendous coming from a periodontal office.
The hygienist focus is on treating the entire mouth but his passion is oral lesions detection and awareness, control and prevention of infections. We love educating our patients about oral health.
Some duties include:
- Review of medical and dental history and current oral health
- Extraoral examination: blood pressure, facial structures
- Intraoral examination: oral cancer screening, evaluation of teeth for mobility, cracks, chips, defective restorations. Full evaluation of gum disease if any.
- Take x-rays to help the doctor in diagnostics.
- Perform Vizilite, the oral cancer exam.
- Treatment and maintenance of the periodontal condition of the patients by removing plaque, stains, tartar above and below the gum line.
- Applying a local antibiotic, Arestin, in the gums to help with gum infections.
- Polishing and flossing teeth
- Application of sealants and fluorides as preventive dental treatment
- Give personalized oral hygiene instructions plus specific aids for each patient€™s personal use at home.
- Inform and educate the patient about their treatment plan.
- Inform patients about exciting new technology used at the office.
